The Corsage Dress

I'm attending a wedding in a few weeks and have finally  found a dress to wear. But it's not this one.  The dress I bought is a simple dove gray sheath.  I fell in love with this pink "Corsage Dress" by Max Mara while browsing the internet.  My guess is it's a spring / summer 2011 dress and no longer available.  It's out of season anyway for November (in Boston, no  less), but the color and shape wowed me.  Bright pink is not a color I normally wear, but I'd make an exception in this case.

Are there particular colors of clothing you're either drawn?  How do you determine what looks best on you?

Pink Flats With Roses

Goodness, these are just about the prettiest shoes I've ever seen.  Can't you just picture these with a classic little black dress (or white dress) and a snappy clutch?  The problem is, I don't know who makes these shoes or where I can buy them.

AIGLE Boots

It's hard to believe that these good looking boots aren't made of leather, isn't it?  They're made of rubber by the French company AIGLE and lined with comfy padded jersey.  They're definitely on my wish list for fall.  You can find them at Brooks Brothers (click the AIGLE link above).

Turquoise

 Coach


This image is from an old Coach catalog--perhaps from five or six years ago.  The white shift dress and turquoise necklace are simple, but striking.  The model is holding a Coach bag that I cropped from the photo.  It's a shame that neither the dress nor the necklace were made by Coach.  They were my favorite items in the catalog.
