There is nothing like the scent of roses to soothe the senses. This delicate fragrance evokes feelings of love, beauty and balance. Fortunately, fresh cut roses are available and affordable at many grocery stores. I treat myself to a dozen almost every week (soft pink and ivory roses are my favorites). Although the rose petals are velvety and the flowers are beautiful, the scent, unfortunately, does not linger.
I recently started using several rose scented beauty products and thought you may enjoy them as well. When I use these products, I feel like I'm wrapped in roses. The fragrance lasts, but doesn't overwhelm.
Here are a few of my choices:
Chantecaille Pure Rose Water - This spray is made with the "purest organic extract of Rose de Mai" essential oil. I spray this on my face morning and evening after cleansing, following it with moisturizer in the evening. It is incredibly soothing and softening.

Chantecaille Flower Harmonizing Cream - I use the moisturizer in the evening after cleansing my face. This cream is emollient, but not greasy and is made with a base of pure rose water (heavenly). It also includes several essential oils and seaweed extract to calm the skin. The fragrance is light and instantly reduces my stress level. It's pricey, but since you need only a small amount for each application, it should last a long time.
Christian Dior Crème de Rose Lip Balm - This soothing and nourishing lip balm is made with shea butter and provides SPF 10. It's delicately scented with Damask Rose essential oil and leaves my lips smooth and plump. It's always in my handbag or nightstand (along with its sister product, Christian Dior Crème de Abricot, for nails and hands).
Jo Malone Red Roses Bath Oil is on my wish list. Maybe for Christmas?
